Your Summer Book: Sherlock Holmes

The memoirs of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of Sherlock Holmes stories and was originally written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1984. It's is a good book for summer, and the mysteries and cases are simply riveting.

The author takes you to the wonderful world filled with dark figures, rainy nights, almost unsolvable riddles and of course, "Elementary my dear Watson, Elementary." You are introduced to various characters from Sherlock's past within twelve stories in the book. It also brings a more human side to Holmes, who along with being the best detective is also a brother to one and a friend to few. Lastly, you are introduced to the infamous Professor Moriarty who is really daunting in "The Final Problem". This book was initially regarded as the end of Sherlock Holmes, before the release of the next series which was seven years later. It is another great piece of work from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and a must read for one and all.

All in all, its worth spending the summer reading this book with your free time, as it contains some striking mysteries and intriguing characters that will leave you wanting for a lot more of Holmes and Watson.
