Football is the perfect sport to take up in the summer, where you can learn the basics and then try out for the school team next year. It is the most popular sport in the world and there is no reason why it shouldn't be. It’s one of the most entertaining sports, and has a lot of advantages towards your body as well your mind if you take up this sport seriously. Here are a few reasons, why you should take up Football as a sport:

1) Fitness Levels: If you take up this sport from an early age, it can have a massive impact on your fitness levels in the future. Football involves running for 90 minutes and constantly exerting yourself, so it is amazing from you fitness point of view.

2) Agility and Flexibility: Since you are constantly running up and down the pitch in regular intervals of jogging and running, it provides you with tremendous benefits in terms of your agility and flexibility.

3) Reduces Risk:  Football is a very active sport, and it makes your bones and muscles much stronger, along with reducing risk of obesity and Type 2 diabetes.

4) Cooperation: Football is a team game and it teaches kids the important lesson of working together to achieve goals. These are good fundamentals for kids to learn to prepare for the future.

5) Superior Brain Functionality:  A new study reports that soccer players actually have superior executive functions, the brain processes responsible for planning and abstract thinking.
